Tanahill's On A Wing And A Prayer

Kate, pictured on the left, bred by Tanahill, and her
best friend Maggie on Valentines Day.
Kate is owned by Helen & Don,
who love her to bits!
Thanks to both for giving her such a terrific home.
Can. Ch. Laurent's Tanahill Rio Grand

Rio was bred by Laura Heidrich and was owned by us
here at Tanahill. He is a very sweet boy with kisses for
everyone he meets. He finished his Canadian
championship very quickly in just 3 shows, all as a
puppy. Rio was retired and moved in with 2 very special
ladies, Colleen and Eleanor, who adored him as much as
he adored them. They were lucky enough to have 4
wonderful years together, spent with great times and
great memories. Sadly, Colleen passed away on Dec.
25th,2007, then shortly thereafter, Eleanor passed away
on March 3rd of 2008, which left Rio with a broken
heart. Thankfully, 2 angels, Noel and Miles came along
and took Rio into their home to adore him and help
mend his broken heart. We cannot thank them enough
for opening their home and hearts to Rio, he is very well
loved and his heart is mending.

"Paige"
Laurent's Perfect For Tanahill
Paige
is the sweetest girl, always full of hugs
and kisses for all who meet her.

She did very well in the ring here in
Canada, got up to 9 points, then came
into season and lost her coat.
She has 1  Champion, our Hope
(Can. Ch. Tanahill Wind Beneath My
Wings.)

Paige is now retired, and has the most
wonderful family, as shown here, and is
so very loved.

I just wanted to let you all know that Halo, the girl we bred that has been struggling with cancer crossed the rainbow bridge on July 24th.We shared her story in the cocker classic last year. Pat had quit her job to care for Halo, and did an amazing job over the last year and a half caring for her. They are an amazing couple, and I could not have asked for a better home for my Halo. Pat and Halo had a very special bond, cancer. They both helped each other through the hardest times in their life. The one thing cancer cannot kill is love.Pat and Ben are beyond devastated. They have a hard healing road ahead of them. We were so hoping she could make it until our summer nationals to receive her ribbon, but it was not meant to be.I have purchased a special plaque for her and Pat and Ben will be there so I am going to give them her ribbon in memory. It is a sad time for all of us.Here is one of the last photos taken of her. Sleep well sweet angel, Tanahill's Precious Memory - Halo November 5th/97 - July 24th/09
